Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before registering for or participating in the HLA World Cup Fantasy League 2026.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the HLA World Cup Fantasy League 2026 (the "League"), hosted by Hamiltons Law Accountants ("HLA", "we", "us", or "our"). By registering for and participating in the League, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not participate in the League.
2.1 Participation is open to employees and associates of law firms and companies registered with the League. HLA reserves the right to verify the affiliation of any participant.
2.2 Each participant may register one account only. Duplicate accounts registered by the same individual may be disqualified at HLA's discretion.
2.3 HLA employees may participate for fun but are not eligible to win the overall hospitality prize or the firm/company prize.
3.1 To participate, you must create an account using a valid email address and select your affiliated law firm or company from the provided list. If your firm or company is not listed, you may select "Other" and provide the name.
3.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.3 You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update such information if it changes.
4.1 The League is based on the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament. Participants select a fantasy team of players according to the rules published on the League website.
4.2 Points are awarded based on real-world player and team performance during the tournament, in accordance with the scoring system published on the League website.
4.3 Team selections and transfers must be completed by the published deadlines. Late submissions will not be accepted.
4.4 HLA reserves the right to amend the game rules and scoring system at any time, provided that any changes are communicated to participants in a timely manner.
4.5 In the event of a dispute regarding scoring or player eligibility, HLA's decision is final.
5.1 Participants may create or join private leagues with colleagues and friends, in addition to competing in the overall League.
5.2 Private leagues are for social and recreational purposes only. HLA does not permit paid entry, betting, gambling, or wager-based competitions through the platform.
5.3 HLA reserves the right to remove any league or participant that violates these Terms or engages in behaviour deemed inappropriate or harmful to the League community.
6.1 How to enter: free entry only — register an account at hlaworldcup2026.hamiltonslawaccountants.co.uk, select your law firm or company, and create a 15-player squad. No purchase or payment of any kind is required to enter or win. One entry per person.
6.2 Late entries: managers who join after the tournament has started may still participate, but will not score points for gameweeks that have already concluded and therefore have a reduced chance of winning. There is no fixed closing date for entry eligibility.
6.3 The prizes are: (a) Individual prize — 4 Hampden Hospitality tickets for Scotland v Switzerland (UEFA Nations League, Tuesday 29 September 2026, kick-off 7:45pm at Hampden Park), including premium padded seating, lounge access from 5pm, food and drink vouchers, half-time refreshments, post-match bar access and a commemorative programme; and (b) Firm/Company prize — 48 Krispy Kreme doughnuts (24 assorted + 24 original glazed) delivered to one UK mainland office address nominated by the winner. Only one prize per category is available.
6.4 Eligibility: open to individuals aged 18 or over who are residents of the United Kingdom. HLA employees and members of their immediate households are not eligible to win the individual or firm/company prize but may participate for fun. Entrants must be the registered account holder. To qualify for the firm/company prize, an organisation must have at least 3 eligible managers (each with a valid registration and a created squad); organisations with fewer than 3 eligible managers will be excluded from the firm/company standings.
6.5 How winners are selected: the individual prize is awarded to the manager with the highest total points across the tournament. The firm/company prize is awarded to the organisation with the highest average points per eligible manager at the close of the tournament. In the event of a tie for the individual prize: (i) fewest transfers used; (ii) highest single-gameweek score; (iii) earliest valid registration date; (iv) HLA's decision is final. For the firm/company prize tie-break: (i) highest aggregate points; (ii) most eligible managers; (iii) HLA's decision is final.
6.6 Restrictions and what is NOT included: travel to and from Hampden Park, accommodation, parking, match-day expenses, personal spending, and any costs incurred in claiming or attending the prize are NOT included and are the responsibility of the winner. Ticket holders must comply with the venue's terms and any UEFA/SFA conditions of entry. Doughnut delivery is to a single UK mainland office address only; delivery dates are subject to Krispy Kreme availability.
6.7 No cash alternative: prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, cannot be resold, and there is no cash alternative. HLA reserves the right to substitute a prize (or any element of it) for one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary (e.g. fixture cancellation or postponement).
6.8 Notification and claim period: winners will be notified by email within 14 days of the tournament conclusion and announced on the site. Winners must respond to confirm acceptance and provide delivery details within 30 days of notification, otherwise HLA reserves the right to withdraw the prize and award it to the next-placed eligible entrant.
6.9 Promoter: Hamiltons Law Accountants Limited (HLA), the promoter of this free prize draw / prize competition. This League is operated as a free-to-enter promotion and is not gambling for the purposes of the Gambling Act 2005.
